The Brunei Wawasan Office and SDG Unit participated in the Brunei Darussalam Geospatial Challenge 2024 (BDGC 2024) exhibition, organized by the Department of Survey, Ministry of Development, in collaboration with NIAT, as part of GIS Day 2024.

The Wawasan Brunei Office and the SDG Unit, under the Prime Minister’s Department, participated in the exhibition during the Brunei Darussalam Geospatial Challenge 2024 (BDGC 2024). Organized by the Department of Survey, Ministry of Development, in collaboration with Network Integrity Assurance Technologies Sdn Bhd (NIAT), the event was held in conjunction with Geographic Information System (GIS) Day 2024.
The event was graced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, as the guest of honor.
At the exhibition, the Wawasan Brunei Office and SDG Unit engaged with BDGC participants and visitors, sharing insights on Wawasan Brunei 2035 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through interactive discussions, the booth highlighted Brunei’s commitment to sustainability and strategic national development.
GIS Day is an annual global event that promotes Geographic Information Systems (GIS), raising public awareness of the significance of geospatial technology in planning, decision-making, and sustainable development. The BDGC 2024 event underscored the role of GIS in advancing Brunei’s national vision and achieving long-term sustainability goals.
The participation of the Wawasan Brunei Office and SDG Unit at BDGC 2024 highlighted the growing importance of geospatial technology in national planning and sustainability efforts.
